ABOUT
The Carriage House by the Sea is a hidden gem located on a waterfront property on Bowen Island. A two minute walk down a short path takes you to a secluded beach where you can swim, meditate, or search for starfish, tiny crabs, or treasures along the shore.
The suite boasts a luxurious pillowtop king size bed, wide plank hardwood flooring, and 100% cotton and linen bedding. The bathroom comes with a rainfall shower head, slate flooring, handcrafted Italian subway tile, and a lovely forest view. The convenient kitchenette is great for preparing a meal when you just feel like staying in. The shingle walled carriage house is a 400 square foot studio suite but the vaulted ceilings and NINE windows make it feel especially roomy bringing the outside in.
The private deck with birdhouse railing adds to the charm. You will be awakened by the songs of birds and the sun rising over the mountains. If you make coffee and take it down to the beach, you may see a pod of orcas, seals, otters, eagles, herons, seagulls, or…if you are especially lucky, a humpback whale!
There is so much to do on Bowen Island! Rent a kayak in the cove, go for a hike around Killarney Lake, treat yourself to fresh tacos and ice cream at The Branch on Bowen, visit the multitude of shops, rent an e-bike, visit the marina or the art gallery, and so much more. At the end of the day, you can fall asleep while gazing at the moon and the stars. We are so happy to share this little piece of paradise! Hope you love it as much as we do!
